What We Believe
Faith Rooted in Tradition, Lived Through Love

At Turner Monumental, our beliefs are shaped by the rich theological foundation of the African Methodist Episcopal Church. These guiding principles reflect our faith and commitment to God, each other, and the world:

  • God: We believe in one God, existing as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, a Trinity united in love and purpose.
  • Jesus Christ: We affirm Jesus Christ as the Son of God, whose life, death, and resurrection offer salvation and reconciliation to all who believe.
  • The Bible: We uphold the Bible as the inspired and authoritative Word of God, guiding our faith and daily living.
  • Salvation by Grace: We believe that salvation is a gift of God’s grace, received through faith in Jesus Christ, and is available to everyone.
  • The Church: We recognize the Church as the body of Christ, called to worship, nurture, and serve, embodying the Kingdom of God on earth.
  • Justice and Equality: Rooted in our AME heritage, we are committed to social justice, equality, and advocacy for the oppressed, following Christ’s example of love in action.
  • The Sacraments: We honor Baptism and Holy Communion as sacred expressions of God’s grace, given to strengthen and unite believers.

Our beliefs inspire us to live out our faith daily, serving as a beacon of hope and love in our community and beyond. At Turner Monumental, we embrace all who seek to grow in faith and make a positive impact in the world.
